Alexander J. Wessling

Owner / Principal

Alex has 8 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before creating AW Family Insurance, he worked as an agent for Liberty Mutual, where he was recognized as one of the top agents in the country and developed a deep understanding of the industry. He founded AW Family Insurance to offer more options to his clients and deliver a better, more personal experience.

As the name of the agency implies, Alex is a dedicated family man. He loves spending time with his children, playing sports, and staying active. None of this would be possible without the love and support of his incredible wife, who has been by his side every step of the way. Her encouragement, wisdom, and partnership have been instrumental in both his personal and professional success. Together, they’ve built not just a business, but a life centered around family, trust, and service to others.

Anthony Phillips

Agency Administrator

Anthony wears many hats at AW Family Insurance, managing customer service, sales, administrative work, and whatever else is needed to keep the business running smoothly. As a lifelong friend of the owner—since the age of five—he has a deep connection to the company’s success and takes initiative to ensure the absolute best customer experience. Through his hard work, dedication, and genuine investment in the agency’s growth, he has quickly become one of the most invaluable members of the team. His commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence makes him an essential part of the company’s continued success. Anthony was born & raised in Weymouth, MA and studied history at Northeastern University. Before entering the insurance industry Anthony taught kindergarten, preschool, and middle school for a decade. Anthony plays guitar, enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with his dog Mars.

James Bottary

James has been in sales since 2014 and transitioned into the insurance industry in 2022, after being introduced to the field by the agency owner, Alex. Through his experience at AW Family Insurance, James has developed a strong passion for helping people protect what matters most and takes pride in providing personalized service that ensures clients feel confident in their choices.

Originally from Quincy, Massachusetts, James enjoys working with local families and businesses to find the right solutions for their unique needs. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his fiancé and their corgi, Cannoli. During the summer, James can often be found on the golf course or out on the water, soaking up all that New England’s warm weather has to offer.

James is committed to offering reliable, thoughtful advice and is here to help you navigate your insurance options with ease. With his dedication to understanding your needs, you can trust that he’ll provide the best support for you and your family.

PJ Rexford

With over five years of experience in the insurance industry, PJ combines expertise from both producer roles and independent property adjusting. His extensive knowledge of insurance policies allows him to guide clients in selecting the best coverage to fit their unique needs, ensuring they’re well-protected when the unexpected happens.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, PJ is passionate about providing exceptional service and building lasting relationships with clients. His approach is client-focused, always ensuring they have the right coverage for peace of mind and security.

In his personal life, PJ enjoys traveling with his wife and their dog, Theo. He brings the same level of commitment and dedication to his career that he does to his personal relationships, always striving to help others in meaningful ways.
